As a Reno native, I’ve always felt a deep connection to animals and the natural world around me. Growing up surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of Nevada, my passion for animals quickly evolved into a love for understanding their behavior. My dog training journey began at a local board-and-train facility, where I worked with a wide range of dogs, teaching them basic manners and obedience.
In 2011, I expanded my knowledge by earning my Veterinary Technician License, which allowed me to work closely with animals in various settings—helping me refine my understanding of dog behavior. While working in veterinary care was rewarding, I discovered that my true passion lies in building strong, lasting bonds between people and their dogs.
In 2021, I founded Country Acres Dog Academy with one mission: to help owners like you create a positive, long-lasting relationship with your dog. Whether you’re looking to teach your dog proper leash manners, address challenging behaviors, or simply strengthen your bond, I am here to guide you every step of the way.
As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA), I take a compassionate, science-based approach to dog training. I believe in empowering owners with the skills and knowledge to create lasting changes—not just quick fixes. My goal is to help you build a strong, trusting relationship with your dog that enhances both your lives.
I also believe in continuous education and stay current on the latest training techniques through memberships with the Association of Professional Dog Trainers (APDT) and the International Association of Animal Behavior Consultants (IAABC). This commitment ensures that I’m always offering the best training solutions to fit your needs and lifestyle.
